Our MISSION AND VISION

Vision: To become the leading abaca fiber and copra provider of the Philippines that can meet present and future global demands.

History

It all started in the 1960’s when Fernando Cua, the patriarch of the Cua clan, started a small abaca trading business in San Andres, Catanduanes. Through his hard work and determination he was able to grow his business and pass it on to his two sons – Joseph and Peter Cua. Together they continued to improve the business which allowed them to expand and add multiple branches enabling them to provide livelihood to the local abaca farmers and to help Catanduanes to be known as the biggest abaca contributor in the Philippines. Manila Hemp Trading Corporation is now one of the biggest abaca trading companies in the province.
